It is an ideal hobby for the insect enthusiast, for the do-it-yourself crafter, for families looking for inexpensive hands-on activities, and for homeschooling parents who are looking for a great biology project for their kids. Children need to learn the important role insects play in our planets biology. For example, most crops would fail to produce food or seeds for new plants without the pollinating activities of insects such as bees.
